I’m Leti Marsola, a certified personal stylist from the London College of Style and a Colour Consultant. But before we get into that, let me tell you how I got here!
I’m originally from Brazil, and I’ve been passionate about clothing and personal style for as long as I can remember. As a teenager, I found joy in experimenting with fashion—whether that meant choosing a denim set for my first communion instead of the traditional white dress, styling my grandmother’s blouses into dresses, or customizing my school uniform just enough to push the boundaries. Clothes have always been a way for me to express myself, and looking back, I can see how they’ve been woven into my life’s story.
In 2005, I moved to Chile, where I lived for ten years. My background is in Education, and my career path has always been connected to languages, creativity, and culture. I taught Portuguese to executives in Santiago, worked in digital content creation and management for PUMA, and later became the Latin America Client Loyalty Manager at Thomson Reuters. As you might guess, I speak Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
Love brought me to the UK in 2015 when I moved to York with my Yorkshire-born husband. That same year, I lost my mum to cancer, marking a turning point in my life. A year later, I became pregnant—a journey that came with its own challenges, including gestational diabetes and health complications from a pulmonary embolism I had survived in 2013. In 2017, my little one was born, and while I loved motherhood, I struggled with how I saw myself.
I fell into the trap of dressing “like a mum”—but what does that even mean? I was exhausted (of course!) and trying to fit into a mold that didn’t feel like me.
It was around 2018, after a major body transformation and life changes, that I rediscovered my love for fashion in a new way. I started refining my personal style, researching more about styling techniques, and curating a wardrobe that truly reflected me. That’s when I realised—helping other women feel this sense of empowerment was exactly what I wanted to do.
The leap to becoming a professional stylist was just a step—or rather, a push. Thanks to the encouragement of amazing friends, I formalised my knowledge and trained in personal styling at the London College of Style in England. I also deepened my expertise in Personal Colour Analysis with my mentor Karina Abud and Mônica Boaventura in Brazil.
Leti (short for Leticia, my name) means joy and happiness in Latin, and yet, nothing makes me sadder than seeing women unhappy and confused about what to wear. Too often, we:
Think we need a special occasion to dress beautifully.
Dress up or down just to fit in, even when it doesn’t feel right.
Believe there’s something wrong with our bodies because nothing fits how we expect.
I blame the patriarchy for all of the above. But here’s the good news: we have the power to change this!
Personal style isn’t about being rich, skinny, or following trends. It’s about knowing yourself, dressing in a way that makes you feel confident, and using fashion as a tool to express who you truly are. Small changes can have a huge impact—not just on how we feel, but on the way we connect with others.
If any of this resonates with you, then we’re probably a great match! Let's find your joy in style, together.
